What Is Kombucha?

Kombucha is a sparkling, fermented tea drink! It begins with a blend of tea and sugar, before a living culture of bacteria and yeast, known as a ‘SCOBY’ (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) is added. The SCOBY consumes the sugar in the tea blend and transforms it into kombucha - a naturally low sugar, tangy and refreshing drink full of live cultures and organic acids.

Driven by a fascination with fermentation, MOJO has been brewing true kombucha since 2010! And although this been home-brewed and enjoyed for centuries, our team was the first to bring bottles of ‘booch to Aussie supermarkets.

Staying true to this traditional recipe, every bottle of MOJO Kombucha is lovingly crafted with a unique culture, thoughtfully sourced organic ingredients, and no shortcuts.

Kombucha Brewed True

For over 10 years, our ‘booch from brew to bottle has been crafted on site at our dedicated site in the McLaren Vale area of South Australia, a region renowned for fermentation.

To this day, our team still authentically ferment every batch of MOJO using only the best ingredients - a blend of fair-trade whole leaf, organic green and black tea; organic raw cane sugar; and the same heirloom SCOBY culture we have used since the beginning.

After brewing, our team add real fruit, juice or spices, and gut-loving probiotics or prebiotics to create MOJO’s unique range of actually naturally kombucha. The result is a delicious drink that’s certified organic, naturally low sugar, free from sneaky sweeteners and good for your gut!

Using the same authentic brew for everything we do, our team have proudly crafted four unique ranges of Kombucha to cater to different taste buds and MOJO moments!

Activated Kombucha is our traditional, home-brew style ‘booch, that’s thriving with live cultures and probiotics for gut health support.

Superbooch is all the gutsy goodness of our authentic, low sugar probiotic kombucha, boosted with bespoke benefits to create an extraordinary brew.

Gut Shots are a handy probiotic kickstart in a mini low sugar sip. With a higher concentration of organic acids, and real fruit and spices, these mini MOJO’s are big kombucha goodness in a small package.

Kombucha Soda is a fun, fermented fizz, made with real fruit juice and prebiotic fibre. The familiar flavours of Kombucha Soda are great if you’re new to fermented drinks or looking for a low sugar soft drink swap. The handy 250mL cans are perfect for your pantry, picnic or packed lunch.
