Not everything labelled a kombucha is the real deal. Here is a little guide of what to look for next time you are reaching for a soft sip that does not suck.
Is the drink refrigerated?
MOJO kombucha is a 'booch brewed true, meaning there is living cultures and residual sugar within every bottle. Cool temperatures are required for MOJO kombucha to keep the yeast and bacteria living while stopping the fermentation process. So don’t forget to always keep your MOJO chilled between 0-4 degrees!
Authentically Fermented - Has it been made from a SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) and not an extract?
A quick glance at the ingredients list is an effective way to tell if your kombucha has been authentically brewed with a SCOBY or if it has been made from a ‘kombucha extract’. Floating strands in the drink are also a good indicator – these are healthy bits of kombucha culture from the SCOBY. We prefer to bottle in clear glass so you can see what's inside!
