This MOJO Margarita combines our zesty Lemon Citrus variety with gelato for the ultimate chilled Summer holiday treat!
Cocktails are a great way to enjoy Kombucha after hours: the low in sugar, all natural, fizzy beverage is a smart swap for traditional mixers. This MOJO Margarita is made with Classic Lemon Citrus and features in Faces and Food of the Fleurieu: a cookbook showcasing recipes, tips and stories from prominent food producers and chefs between Port Noarlunga and Cape Jervis South Australia, including our MOJO Team from Willunga who have been brewing Kombucha on the Fleurieu Peninsula for almost 10 years.
Based on the Crabb’s original family recipe, the MOJO Classic Kombucha range has a bold, tangy flavour from a traditional fermentation process. These naturally zesty tones of our authentic brew are enhanced in our Lemon Citrus variety with refreshing lemon juice, which together adds to the sweet and sour balance of this cocktail. Our MOJO Margarita can also be made without tequila for a Summer drink the whole family can enjoy.
- 100mL tequila, chilled
- 250mL lemon or lime gelato
- 160mL MOJO Kombucha Lemon Citrus, chilled
- 1 lemon, for garnish
- Sea salt, for garnish
Start by preparing your glasses. Rub the rim of your glasses with the lemon and then roll in sea salt to line the rim. Cut 2 slices of lemon into half moons and set aside for the garnish.
To make the margarita, simply add the tequila, gelato and MOJO Kombucha Lemon Citrus into a blender and blend until well combined.
Pour the mixture into your prepared glasses, garnish with a lemon slice on the side of the glass and serve immediately.
