Our Activated Kombucha is thriving with living probiotic cultures!
Following authentic kombucha fermentation methods, our brewing process skips the unpronounceable sweeteners found in other functional drinks (like erythritol and stevia), instead leaving a small amount of residual sugar (less than 2.5g per 100mL to be exact!) along with living probiotic cultures in our kombucha.
If exposed to temperatures above 5 degrees celsius, our living cultures can begin to ferment again in bottle, producing more organic acids and gasses as they consume the residual sugar.
This means that MOJO Activated Kombucha must always be kept in the fridge to prevent further fermentation, which may cause the bottle to burst.
